Phone verification is the process of confirming if the number is available and valid. This service eliminates the risk of fraud and serves as an additional way of verifying the identity of its user. This process involves a database from the telecom industry to tally active numbers. If required, the government database is also used for this process. It's similar to google authentication. A passcode is sent to the receiver (user) and the authentic user fills it in the requisite field. This is how the entire process of phone verification takes place.
