In the dark grey dawn of the ages long ago. A man known as St. Ronan prayed to leave the district of Lewis, so he could have some peace, not caring where else he would go. An angel came and told him to go down to the bay, where a messenger would carry him
The ‘messenger’ turned out to be a great sea serpent called the ‘cionarain-cro’, a dog-like creature with serpent fangs and great eyes shining like two stars at night. Ronan sat on the back of the sea monster, and it flew with him over the sea, usually as wild as the mountains, now as smooth as the plains, and in the twinkling of two eyes reached the remote and fertile island of North Rona.
This limited release of just 80 bottles has been awakened after 18 long years of quiet slumber for you to enjoy. classic in style but with an extra ‘chilled’ self-assurance and an edge of darkness. A malt that lives life to the full. This unique spirit has been nurtured in hand-selected sherry and bourbon casks during its maturation in the legendary North Rona distillery warehouse.
