ITP-BB- Research #5 - Morrisons Campaign

Morrison's Up Your Street
As I've looked into multiple supermarket campaigns, I wanted to see if there was a campaign that I didn't necessarily like and I took a look at the advertisements that Morrisons have created and I found on called 'Up Your Street' that straight away made me realise it was going to have quite a few puns with text and food which isn't what I am keen about. Morrisons have made it so the foods used have been used to either start or finish a location in London which sounds like a good idea but it doesn't personally intrigue me and make me want to shop at Morrisons when I take a look at the adverts.
The advert is very plain with very little elements other than a photo mixed in with the text but the text is bold and stands out the most throughout the advertisements. The yellow backgrounds feels as though it is too in your face and bright to be able to focus on the rest of the advert and because their logo has yellow within it, it blends in a lot and you have to really focus to see who is advertising. As they don't do many advertising campaigns that are out of their normal zone which is bunching all of their products together and photographing them, this is a new experience for them to advertise in a different way which is a good strategy as a supermarket brand but isn't something that attracts me as a viewer.
These are some more adverts by Morrisons that are usually advertised on TV or on billboards near where Morrisons are located which I personally don't see as often as other Supermarket brands.
