Created in 1747, La Maison Maille has been a symbol of know-how, craftsmanship and quality of mustard for more than 270 years. 

In this spirit, this spray coated jar was designed in order to upgrade the original packaging to the high standard look that this premium brand deserves. Adding to it the nice challenge to keep the filling and packing line as it was, in order to keep it affordable for the consumer.

That’s how the idea of a coated glass jar was born : this way we didn’t have to change the glass design itself but to add an extra step to enhance the product with a ceramic look and feel. This process also allows the packaging to be fully recyclable in the right facilities.

The design included developing a very special transparent label, able to stick on this textured packaging without changing its look.
