Il Condominio è un romanzo di J.G. Ballard, che riflette un’atmosfera disturbante e distopica, corredata dalle atmosfere tipiche dei romanzi ambientati negli anni 70. In questa copertina viene espresso graficamente il concetto dell’intero romanzo, nel quale un condominio apparentemente tranquillo nasconde in realtà disagi e numerose insidie.
L’illustrazione della copertina è stata realizzata in Adobe Illustrator e rappresenta la facciata del condominio; solo due finestre sono illuminate e presentano le due realtà che si intrecciano all’interno della struttura. Nella prima finestra in alto a destra un uomo guarda la TV, mentre nella finestra più in basso a sinistra un altro uomo brandisce un coltello. Lo stile grafico è semplice e minimalista, l’intento è di mostrare in maniera più chiara possibile le atmosfere del romanzo, in modo da far comprendere subito al potenziale lettore il genere di libro che andrà a leggere. L’impaginazione è stata realizzata utilizzando Adobe InDesign.

High-Rise is a novel by J.G. Ballard, which features a story with a very disturbing and strongly dystopian atmosphere, accompanied by the typical atmospheres of novels set in the 70s. In this cover the concept of the entire novel is graphically expressed, in which an apparently quiet condominium actually hides inconvenience and numerous deceptions.

High-Rise is a novel by J.G. Ballard, which features a story with a very disturbing and strongly dystopian atmosphere, accompanied by the typical atmospheres of novels set in the 70s. In this cover the concept of the entire novel is graphically expressed, in which an apparently quiet condominium actually hides inconvenience and numerous deceptions.
The cover illustration was created in Adobe Illustrator and represents the facade of the condominium; only two windows are illuminated and present the two realities that are intertwined within the structure. In the first window at the top right a man is watching TV, while in the lower left window another man is holding a knife. The graphic style is simple and minimalist, the intent is to show the atmospheres of the novel as clearly as possible, in order to make the potential reader understand immediately the kind of book they are going to read. The layout was created using Adobe InDesign.
