Icons define how we, as humans, associate with our surroundings. Stemming from the food we eat, the clothes we buy, we tend to associate ourselves with visual representations, and in many ways icons help us with these associations. These particular icons, a martini glass and a stiletto heel, were designed to relay a visual message of elegance and "status". This design needed to cater to both genders, so a teal color was presented as a mutually "equal" hue.
