AC Motors web page layout (fictitious company)

Above is the a website page for a fictitious company that I designed using Adobe XD.  The images and information were provided by the instructor of the UI UX course that I am enrolled in.

Since the company is not real I took the opportunity to create the logo and the icons that are used. The company was named AC Motors, and the images were of sports cars, which made me think of cruising the highway with the top down and enjoying the open road.  With that as my inspiration, I used one of the blue colors from the color palette that was given to me as the blue field in the background. The grey area below represents the highway or open road and then I put a white banner across it with initials of the company name.  I used the circle as the containment shape representing the shape of a tire.

Trending at the moment, many automotive selling websites use a dark header with light text.  A san serif font was used to give the site a modern feel. And the the color palate consisted of #FFFFFF, #76777A, #2795C0, #002F3F and #06658D.
I made the hero image bleed off the page so that the image can be viewed without distraction. The product area is linked together using a shade of grey (#76777A), leaving the background and footer areas white for easy separation.
