I was asked by a man from the Democratic Republic of Congo to produce a mock-up of a set design for the play "Black and White."  The set was to be very portable, and easy and inexpensive to produce.

There are 2 tri-fold screens with 3 equal sides, and one tri-fold screen with a larger mid-section.  They are painted black on one side, white on the other, alternately.

As you can see, the screens can be placed in a variety of ways, to allow for various entrances and exits.

Additionally, a gauzy piece of fabric can be draped over a screen portion to simulate dreams or memories being acted out behind the fabric.
