Culture Jamming

Many companies are switching from the traditional advertising approach to a more socially responsible approach to branding by proactively reinventing their company image and culture and thereby building their brand influence. In this project, I did a lot of research to find out whether the negative news about a company is real or not. Take Ikea as an example, many people choose or use it as a reference when buying furniture, but the way that they were handling those dangerous cabinets was disappointing. It wasn’t until eight small children gave their lives for it that they really started to solve the problem. I think the bigger the company, the more socially responsible they are, because they are dealing with a much larger customer base. So I used the same advertising style as Ikea to create this culture jamming, and I included a bit of gray in the background blue to give the piece a bit of a darker tone to mirror the sadness of the event.
