STEVENSVILLE YELLOWJACKETS
Commissioned rebranding project
Stevensville School District is a K-12 public school in the Bitterroot Valley. The Yellowjackets compete in Montana Class A and offer football, soccer, volleyball, cross country, golf, basketball, wrestling, track, tennis and softball. The town of Stevensville is proud to support the Yellowjackets. The school’s logo is visible across our town. The athletic program believes in character, culture, excellence.

Their previous primary logo was just a carbon copy of the GT Yellowjacket so we set out to make an identity with following goals in mind:
Project Goals
1. Rebrand an ID that they can own: is unique to the school and the town & lasts a long time.
2. Has universal appeal; audience settling from out of state and the multigenerational families from the MT area.
3. Help raise excitement and elevate energy at sporting events & creating more school spirit.

This was just some of the info that was gathered through the initial discovery process. It was crucial to understand where the brand came from, where it is now and where it wants to be in years to come. Throughout this process, we also did a competitor analysis with other high schools in the area and aimed to position the Yellowjackets in a way that gives them an ID that sets the standard for Montana school athletics.
