Reflection Time
Wall clock.
We all know John Lennon famous quote "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans", which in spanish is translated what the design above says " La vida es lo que pasa, cuando estas ocupado en otras cosas".
The idea of this wall clock design is to inspire and reflect about time and life. Its a simple design, but whats very cool is that you may actually chance the quote. You shall no longer be bored seeing the same wall clock over and over again. This particular design, is meant to be change each season. The image below shows how the color of each design goes with a particular season. John Lennons quote, is a design meant to use in winter.
GREEN DESIGN: Dont count every hour of the day, make each hour count,
RED DESIGN; It doesn't matter how slowly you go-so long as you do not stop
YELLOW DESIGN: The only ones who lacks of time, are those that do not take advantage of it.
So, your probably wondering how this works. This is conceptual design, but the way it works is very basic. A clock mechanism is made by the "mechanism" the hour and minute pointer and a little clip holder ( which is inserted in a tube that comes out of the "mechanism"), which is in charge of making sure the pointers dont fall out.
Its very easy to take out the clip holder out of the mechanism tube, making it also easy to take out the minute and hour pointer. Each design of quotes has in its back powerfull neodymium magnets. The clock "base" is a type of magnetized stainless steel, making the design magnets hold itself strongly to the base. After you accomodate the design in the base, all you have to do is put the pointers back and the clip holder back, and your DONE!
