Marco Varoli's profile

Cantine Angelinetta's winery

This winery is run by 2 guys a little more than thirty, Emanuele e Eleonora Angelinetta, that with dedication and courage began to grow on the shores of Lake Como.
Their vines are located on terraces near the lake and the harvest is entirely by hand, called heroic viticulture.
This viticulture, first mentioned by Leonardo da Vinci and then by Carducci, is defined as heroic, for the effort and the difficulties involved, because the vineyards are often literally wedged between the rocks, and all work in the vineyard must be done manually: sweat and fatigue, that only the passion of these guys and love for their land, can justify.
With this work, I choose to told their harvest through shots in black and white with some hints of color.
