Bytów spatial development project as an element
of the network of small Kashubian towns

The work presents the issue of sustainable development of small towns. The spatial, natural and social problems faced by small towns and contemporary concepts of shaping a sustainable urban environment are described. The answer to the indicated problems is the planning and urban spatial development project of Bytów as an element of the network of small Kashubian towns. The project was preceded by analyzes of the conditions on the regional scale, the city scale and the local and urban scale. The concept includes planning guidelines for the development of the city, the urban design of the center, principles of shaping the buildings, as well as proposed implementation methods and phasing.
