Carnival Poster
Because it's close to Halloween I wanted to make a "vintage" Fright Fest themed poster. I started off with this picture of a woman with two faces and took the background off.
I then created a gradient background with the radiant fill tool, changed it to radial to get the sphere like background, and darkened it. Once I had the background situated I found a picture of a fair silhouette and put it behind the girl.
I then took the background off of a picture using the magic wand tool of the tickets and adjusted it behind the fair silhouette.
Next, I found a picture of old milk bottles and a ball, took the background off using the magic want tool, and used the lasso tool to select just the ball to move.
I then selected the shape of the milk bottles using the lasso tool, made a black copy of it, and adjusted it's angle and used gaussian blur to make it shadow like.
I used a clipping mask to put a picture of blood splattered onto the bottles, and adjusted the brightness of the blood.
I used a clipping mask to adjust the saturation and hue of the tickets, changed it to yellow.
I then took a soft brush with low hardness and slowly took the sharp lining of the silhouette and the girl off to give it a softer look.
Next, I duplicated the silhouette and changed the copy to red and gave the black silhouette a red blur behind it.
Next, I took an old piece of paper and adjusted the lighting to give the poster an old and grainy look. I also used a hue and saturation layer mask to adjust the color of the grainy effect.
Lastly I Gave the poster a title and gave it a date.
