Fresh Prince Costume Party Backdrop

I started this project—to paint a 15' x 8' photo booth backdrop—with a few sketches inspired by the graphical style of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air TV show.

Using a painter's tarp as a canvas, T2 and I created this backdrop in about 3 hours.I began by drawing with a wax pen on the backdrop, then started layering all the fun 90s colors.

Above, me and the band pose with the Fresh Backdrop! Vitamin D is a live hip hop tribute band with a DJ, two MCs, bass, and drums. Pictured (from left) is DJ Dropkick, AP Real, Uncle J, Mt Adams, T2.

The Fresh Backdrop was a hit! Lots of fun costumes and colors to light up Hood River's top outdoor venue in mid-summer.
