The concept for this campaign is a gender neutral capsule collection is being released for the A/W season. This will be promoted online by influencers on platforms such as Instagram. The specific collection going out for A/W contains a trench coat, an oversized white shirt, a black knitted vest and a pair of jogger style trousers. Each piece is ‘gender less’ and can be worn together as an outfit or used to mix and match throughout your wardrobe. This idea of a capsule collection strongly lends itself to the ethics of ARKET in terms of sustainability and their ethos on longevity of their clothing pieces. These of our items won’t go out of style and will be wearable for years come. 

This campaign is appropriate for ARKET as it is based around topics that they already seem to heavily focus on. Sustainability and longevity of clothing is some of what ARKET brand identity is focused around. The idea of a capsule wardrobe is very fitting as it is the idea of maintaining a wardrobe of essentials and classic pieces that can be mix and matched overtime, in essence this is exactly the idea between many of the items ARKET already sell. Having the items being marketed to all genders, this allows a wider target market for the campaign. Unisex clothing is also very popular at the moment with many brands being set up focusing on genderless clothing whilst bigger company’s such as ASOS and even George at ASDA are selling specific unisex collections. This is clearly an up and coming market within the fashion industry therefore helps ARKET stay current.
