THE BRIEF: To photograph and design the new 41st edition of the much-loved Be-Ro cookbook.
Working alongside Take2Eggs, who were in charge of the new recipes, our challenge was to “modernise” the Be-Ro cookbook to appeal to a younger audience, whilst not alienating Be-Ro’s loyal and much older consumers. Our main aim was to retain the charm of the early editions from the 1920’s and pay homage to the legacy that is Be-Ro! We did this by featuring the older versions in our cover design and by including an original recipe from the 1st edition.
THE RESULT:  A fresh, yet nostalgic design that has all the essence of Be-Ro, containing useful cooking tips alongside innovative layout, resulting in a pocket-sized book crammed with tasty recipes and photography.
A book that continues the prestige of being the top “selling” cookbook in the UK.
