Most of the pages detail the competitions. The animal shows and competitions are first, organized by type and purpose of livestock (breeding, milking, meat, etc.) into different “Departments.” Each Department section contains rules for the entrants and regulations for their animals. There are charts breaking down the animal types into different (groups of) breeds and charts detailing the different competitions and classes, along with the prizes for their winners.

Following the animal departments are sections dedicated to photography, plants, cooking and food, flower arrangements, textiles, crafts, and ecology. There are small sections for less-expected topics like archery and robotics. After the Junior Competition sections and the beauty pageants are the Tractor and Truck Pulls. The final pages are made up of entry forms, and there are business advertisements and images from previous years’ fairs sprinkled throughout the guide.
