Brief
In early 2015, Google declared that all websites that did not follow a responsive web strategy will be moved to the bottom of its search results page. As a result, you will be needed to demonstrate your grasp of responsive web design principles. Amazon offers a better online book-purchasing experience, which appears to have left Penguin in the dust. Consider online book purchase habits, determine the needs of book customers everywhere, and meet those needs in your new website proposal. Consider the Penguins’ history.

Rationale
In this design of the Penguin Randomhouse Website, typography played a very important role which is why I used the Fibonacci sequence to create the sizing ratios in the heading texts and the body copy. I also chose Roboto as the typeface of the website because of how easy to read it is and its wide use across UI/UX design which makes it a recognisable font that people are used to. For best practice, I made sure that I followed all the rules of colour in web design. The is no element on the page that is either pure black or pure white. I used shades of “black“ with blue undertones that would contrast the orange because they a complementary colours. I made the cards for my books on the website 3 column cards so I could fit more books on the page to encourage the user to buy more books. I put different types of content on every page that related to what was on that page to keep users engaged and spending more time buying books on the site. I have also used similar card systems throughout the pages to create the feeling of a cohesive website. I made sure that there is consistency in spacing, colour and typography on the page to adhere to tips of best practices in web design
