A ‘lockdown’ Ringflash Module lighting-experiment result 😎

Inside, centre of para-apex area modified with …
experimental “ruffled” ‘hard-reflectivity’ silver-fabric
for this 'low-key' lighting experimental session too !!

The Damned Soul 😎 just like me !!

This studio-garden-character sits outside, hanging-out
from our studio security compound, looks really groovy
against the black metal railings !!

Our humble-studios ‘lock-down-period’ model
for this experimental flash-lighting session
was a weathered, moss-covered, garden-sculpture !!

Perhaps the subject matter is slighty too ...
dark-artsy and/or too arty and/or too avant garde for some ...

However, continued to use the "down-time-wisely"
and learn some new lighting skills ...

Now looking back those 2 years of being ...
'locked-away-like-a-mad-hobbit-in-a-studio'

was truly a gift ....
Absolutely was a life-changing journey of self-lighting discovery
with time, to make the most of the in-house experiments !!

Kept reminding myself with asking myself the very same question ...

What else is a 'widower' ...
the wrong-side of 50 plus two doggies ...
in residence, up in the great frozen North going to be doing at 0400hrs

on a winters morning ??

Learning to light exquisitely is the answer ... so kept telling myself ...
then we hit the refined 'fired-stones' 3D flash-lighting fill technique discovery + invention !!

So the experimental journey for
the "self-confessed-lighting-obsessed-weirdo" continues 😎

+ Modified Cononmark ø120cm ’focused’ indirect parabolic

subject located
approx. 2metres distance from
'focused-position' indirect-para, ring-flash-tube

Findings 😎
The modification to the parabolic reflector when lit with a focused-ring flash module, surprisingly, did not cause significant colour-temperature shift increase, in the focused-position, of the light emitted on our modified Cononmark ø120cm indirect focusable para.

"Behind-the-scenes-photos"

are posted on our Directors linkedin page 😎

Thought that a low-key-style, avant garde arty-take at a fresnel-spot-type light …
may suit this subject well, by placing emphasis on both texture and colour with 'detailing'light' 😎
