This Annex Edwardian house was restored.  The plaster mouldings in the living room were repaired.
The sofa is custom made for the large scale of this room, as is the coffee table.  The carpet is reclaimed.  It was cleaned, with a new fringe added.
The standing lamp is Art Nouveau, and the Chinoiserie leather screens are late19th Century English.  The vase on the mantelpiece is hand-carved cinnabar.
Other minor pieces have been collected along the way.  The large-scale art over the sofa is a well-framed poster.
The dining room was painted red because it is a dark room, and a urethane gloss was painted over the red to further reflect light.
The chandelier is a replica; however it is large, again to match the scale of the room.
A white wool "Fair Isle" carpet from Elte also lightens this room.  The brass and copper-embellished antique mirror is originally from Montreal.

The large front hall is furnished with a French antique settee featuring delicate inlay on its back.  It was purchased at auction and recovered with a  creamy brocade.  The oval, machine-carved mirror was also found at auction.
The wrought iron light fixture is original to the house, but its shade was sourced in an antique store.
The carpet was made in Spain.  The design, "Birds and Flowers" was one of several available pattern choices, but the colours were my decision.
I gutted and renovated a narrow side porch to serve as my office.  I painted the sidewall bricks of the house white to compensate for the narrow space.  The dark-grey and cream vinyl tiles also add to a feeling of width.
