Harold's Chicken Shack Logo Rebrand
My strategy for Harold's Chicken Shack was to give the company a unique but yet modern logo. Harold's Chicken Shack has been around since the 1950s which was why I have included the date founded into my logo. Since this company was founded in Chicago, I wanted to give the logo a memorable and unique style as the city is so full of other businesses. I gave the logo bright colors so it's easy to spot while walking the streets of Illinois. As many other chicken companies, Harold's Chicken Shack serves delicious chicken and I took it into mind about incorporating colors that make you think about food, which is red and yellow, as well as incorporating a rooster into the logo just so the clients/customers are aware that this company is a restaurant that serves chicken and many more! When stylizing the text, I wanted to give the logo more personality to help make the roosters top match the boldness. I used a font that matches perfectly with personality and feel that I was going for, in saying so, I also have included the accents on the sides of chicken shack to help make the wording "pop" but with a subtleness to it.

One of the challenges that I came across while designing this logo was trying to come up with an idea that would well suite the company as the only background information they has was about their past in the 1950s. Their current logo didn't give a lot of meaning as to why they chose a king chasing a chicken, which was why I have also created a second logo to bring back the personality that their logo was aiming for! Overall, this project was challenging, but did give me experience and excitement to what more will come in creating logos! Here are some examples of what my logos would look "in real life" when coming across it.
