Hugues Scheers (or Hui as friends call him) hails form Cape Town. I met him at the India Surf Festival earlier this year. Hui gave up his job as an engineer to become a pro Kite Surfer. He started off as a teacher at a Kite surfing school, participated in competitions and got noticed for his skills by his current sponsors. "The 1st thing I do after waking up is, I look at the trees to see how good the wind is for kiting" he says. I asked him if he wanted to comeback to India to surf again, and he said "I want to, but to teach people who can teach others to kiteboard."
