Bernardo Quintana Arrioja Art Center - bookshelf

Comissioned by the Cultural Department of UAQ (Dirección de Difusión Cultural) for the Bernardo Quintana Arrioja Art Center, a university cultural place in downtown Querétaro, México.
The idea behind the concept was to create a modular shelf, composed by quadrilateral shapes fixed to the wall, and several triangular pieces joint together by simple "nut and bolt" assembly, allowing to change the final shape of the shelf by simple adding or removing them.
The colors was chosen to contrast with the white color of the walls in the Art Center. Each piece was made, painted and assembled by hand
This project was made in collaboration with Carlos Basaldúa, second year student of Industrial Design, Autonomous University of Querétaro
This project has been included as a part of the book "BOOKSHELF DESIGN" from Sendpoints, that features bookshelfs from all around the world in the "Stylish & Intriguing" category.
