NOOR RIYAD - Arabie Saoudite - 2022 // Fantastic Dreams
For several weeks, I had the opportunity to perform at the world's largest light festival (November 3 - 19, 2022).
A fantastic journey into the world of dreams, punctuated by the different cycles of sleep.

SCENARIO
A character immersed in an infinite sleep, travels in a world of dreams punctuated by the different stages of sleep: as the body falls asleep, the mind awakens and we are carried away in different universe landscapes from realism to abstraction.
The show is a loop, the same way nights are punctuated by a series of sleep cycles, repeating the different stages punctuating it until the final awakening.

I have always liked working on the theme of dreams because it is both a mixture of reality and other universes that are created by our minds. It is a different way to think about the world.
It is also a theme that allows a great freedom of creation, and I wanted to work on something really colorful and hopeful. I wanted to create a piece with a story really simple that everybody can interpret the way they want, something very visual that people could just watch and feel and let go, just a bit, of what could be troubling their minds.
In fantastic dreams, our heroine literally "falls" into sleep, she disappears in her dreams.
Dreams are not linear and evolve. She goes from dream to nightmare, because life is like that, there is good and bad. And even if we would like to know only dreams, they would lose their flavor if we didn't have nightmares from time to time.
