Nonnental__Valley of Nuns Madeira
Curral das Freiras (“Tal der Nonnen”) liegt isoliert zwischen riesigen Berghängen im Herzen der Insel: Das Nonnental liegt versteckt 19 km von Funchal entfernt im Landesinnern. Er ist sehr kurvig und führt entlang der steilen Flanken der Berge. Schon die Fahrt hinein ins Nonnental ist ein kleines Abenteuer. Die Häuser kleben wie Schwalbennester an den Steilhängen der Berge.
