Beer & Honey - Host Illustrations
Raphael Honigstein is a German football expert who regularly appears on BT Sport, as well as Sky TV in Germany. He writes for The Athletic and is well known in the industry as a leading expert the beautiful game. He got in touch with us via a mutual friend at BT Sport and asked if we’d be able to help create the cover artwork for his newest venture, Beer & Honey.
The project is in collaboration with his colleague and fellow German expert Christoph Biermann, as the pair embark on a new weekly podcast that will cover both the Bundesliga and the German national team. We were delighted to be involved and following a few chats with Rafa, we set to work illustrating the hosts. The illustrations were then used as the cover art across all podcast hosts, as well as a header for their subscription only supporters. The design of the podcast artwork was intentionally kept simple to ensure it was clear and impactful when viewed on mobile devices.
