Data-Driven Story
This project involved creating a story based on three separate sets of data that I was provided. The dashboard shows a mix of data visualizations and text to answer the question I came up with, “Is it getting hot in here?” Three different types of charts have been utilized to help the user answer that question.
The design utilizes balance throughout with the graphs, headings, sub-headings, icons, and text. The orange color helps create movement by drawing the user’s eye to each icon and it’s supporting text. Repetition is utilized with the sub-headers and graph titles to create continuity. The graphs are spread out to create balance, but are placed at different heights to create visual interest.
