Dog Walking Service Landing Page (UI Academy project)

The Project
Woof was an exercise in the UI Academy course (in 2020) with the goal of designing a landing page for a dog walking service. The course was a 13 week long training I attended where we learned about the visual language of applications in a pragmatic way.

The Brief
This exercise was to create a landing page that helps busy dog owners who want their pet to be able to go for a walk even if they are stuck at work or otherwise impacted due to other activities. The goal of the service was to help them to find reliable dog walkers and provide them with a transparent service where they can be assured that their pet is safe and taken good care of. The site was to be found easy to use and manage, and should be attractive to people with dogs.

The Logo
In the logo my aim was to to sum up the mission of the Woof service. With a cartoonish appearance I combined a happy dog with its leash. In order to match the basic concept of the site, I also attempted to make it convey a playful tone.

The Landing Page
I wanted to give a distinct voice to the service so I created this playful appearance continuing the cartoonish style. Accompanied by a friendly dog the user can journey through the site. I added some animations to reinforce the storytelling and to lift the audience’s mood. The UI elements were created to fit into this world too. I mostly worked with a more restrained colour palette to radiate calmness and to create an environment where the brand colours can easily stand out.
