YUJ- The coming together
Inspired from the paintings of S H Raza, the project is an attempt to show the five elements of nature-air, water, ether, fire and earth( as a metaphor for any five entities).Raza’s art is an example of how simple geometric shapes can convey powerful ideas. In his art, Raza explored themes of Prakriti (nature), Kundalini (primal energy), Tribhuj (triangle) and Bindu (circle/dot).The most celebrated of Raza art series has been the ‘Bindu’. Derived from the Indian concept of “Shunya”, meaning the abstract of nothingness and yet that which has the ability to add value to whatever it is affixed to. Raza perceived the Bindu as the centre of all creation and existence, stating that “Bindu is a source of energy, source of life. Life begins here, attains infinity here”.

In this animation, we have tried to show how the five elements get into a conflict with each other, trying to overpower, foreshadow each other in a war, they eventually come together and realizes co existence is the answer to peace. It uses mix media and geometric abstract shapes to depict the same. It has been done over a course of 1 week using scrap/easily available materials.
