LOOKBOOK FOR OFF-WHITE
For my lookbook, I was inspired by the exceptional fall-winter 2022-2023 Off-
White show.
On Monday 28th February 2022, Off-White paid a final tribute to its founder Virgil
Abloh, who passed away last November, with a three-part collection that honoured the
references showcased by the Afro-American fashion designer, DJ and designer
throughout his collections and collaborations. Titled “Spaceship Earth: an ‘Imaginary
Experience’ “, the presentation saw an audience filled with fashion and pop culture’s
finest, brought together once again by Virgil. The celebration-like event featured
superstars Rihanna and A$ap Rocky on the front row as well as producer Pharrell
Williams, actress Tracee Ellis Ross and supermodel Carla Bruni, while on the catwalk,
Serena Williams walked alongside Bella and Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Naomi
Campbell, Cindy Crawford and her daughter Kaia Gerber, Kendall Jenner and Karen
Elson.
I focused on integrating the pattern, the specific “off white” color, the minimal and
simple design that Off-White uses in its products. For the final page of the lookbook, I
chose to use the famous quote “Virgil was here”, as a memorial of the unique creativity
Virgil showed the whole world.
