UK 1st place winner in Visual Arts
An A1 size 100-year commemorative poster for the Young Creative Chevrolet 2011 competition, which won 1st place nationally and is now going on to be judged internationally.
My entry is based around the idea of a Chevrolet ‘timeline’ road. The road shows iconic cars and important events from Chevrolet’s vast history and displays them in a fun and easy-to-read way.
I wanted to create something interactive, which would involve the user and get people talking about Chevrolet’s 100-year celebration, so the poster also has an interactive element using heat sensitive ink.
This engages the user by asking them to touch the road markings of the poster and ‘follow’ the history of Chevrolet and watch the road markings change colour along the way.
