"Stand Up! Ya Arab!" Is the first of its kind Arabic stand-up comedy streaming show, featuring 56 talents from the Arab World. The show was streamed daily during Ramadan where a new episode was released every day. The show is a modern take on stand up comedy which has been a part of our culture since a long time through different formats. Live comedy used to take place in coffee shops and public spaces, before being brought to TVs in the 80's and 90's. The show follows a fun, yet nostalgic style where two different Arab talents take the stage every episode with only one goal in their minds.
Our goal was to design a visual identity inspired by the talents themselves with all their different countries, styles, backgrounds, and sense of humor. For inspiration, we had to dive deep into different cultures and countries and do a thorough research on the streets, signs, icons, elements, cars and coffee shops, and the result reflected on the typography and rolling graphics.
Our logo type was simply inspired by everything we've came across in our journey through the streets. It reflects the goofiness and fun which could be found in all the streets of the Arab world. The photography style was inspired by another popular type of shows which is Fawazeer Ramadan, an entertaining type of show which all the Arab world grew to love and wait for year after year.
