OS Virtual Graduation
2020—gRRRad!
The identity for the virtual showcase of gRRRad from Orita School of Design and Media was developed amidst the challenges of the Coronavirus lockdown. Despite being physically separated in their own confined spaces during quarantine, both students and faculty remain interconnected and contribute to a larger collective.
“GRRR” is an onomatopoeia that typically conveys anger. However, in the context of the Orita Sinclair Graduation, the growl represents a resolute determination. It symbolizes the graduates’ unwavering commitment to pursuing their passions as they step into the creative industry. The three Rs—READY, RELIABLE, and ROBUST—further embody their preparedness, dependability, and strength.
Hello everyone,
Thank You for tuning in and I truly appreciate all of you for supporting my artwork. I understand that there have been changes between 2020 and 2023, so I apologize for the delayed publication today (2023). This project is one of my best work, which is why I decided to publish it now, even though I started working on it back in 2020. I hope there isn't any confusion or misunderstanding.
