Vidola Titan Service Providers: UI/UX Case Study (2023)

💭 Project Summary
Vidola is an integrated home services mobile application with a large selection of technical experts covering all aspects of household care.

This case study unravels the development of Vidola Titan, an app for service providers, that redefines the service provider experience, offering seamless connections with customers and efficient management of service orders.
🎯 Design Objective
As the product designer for the Vidola Titan app, my focus was to create an intuitive and efficient platform enabling service professionals to effectively manage their orders, communicate with customers, and elevate their overall business performance.

This case study was conducted by me—Michelle, a product designer at Virtual Spirit Technology Sdn. Bhd., during the development of the Vidola Titan mobile app.
⏳ Timeline
The design process, spanning 2 weeks from March 27th to May 12th, 2023, involved refining the UI for optimal user experience.
📝 Methodology
An agile methodology guided this case study, employing 2-3 day sprints to gather continuous feedback. Regular communication ensured alignment with client goals and iterative improvements meeting business objectives.

Service Order Management:
- Efficient handling of service orders, accepting or declining requests.
- Real-time tracking of order status and progress.
- Seamless in-app messaging and call features for customer communication.


Schedule Management:
- Well-organized scheduling of upcoming service appointments.
- Timely notifications for new bookings, rescheduling requests, and cancellations.
- Easy toggling of availability for flexible working hours.


Registration and Assessment:
- Streamlined two-stage registration process.
- Comprehensive application form, identity verification, and qualification submission.
- Theoretical, oral, and practical tests in the second stage for stringent standards.


Portfolio Showcase:
- Titans can exhibit completed projects and customer reviews.
- A powerful tool to attract potential customers and secure more service opportunities.

Onboarding & Registration:
Seamless onboarding with a two-stage registration process, ensuring a robust profile for service professionals.
Dashboard:
An overview of service orders, schedule, and performance metrics. Easy access to various features like new jobs, rework requests, team requests, reviews, completed jobs, and earnings.
Portfolio:
A showcase of completed projects and customer reviews, enhancing credibility.
Jobs and Bidding:
Broadcasted customer requests, individual or team bidding options, and easy management of scheduled jobs.
Earnings and Payment:
Clear overview of earnings, current balance, and available balance for withdrawal. Color-coded transaction status grouped by Order ID for easy tracking.
Account: This section houses the user's profile and account settings, including a referral program.

The Vidola Titan app's development presented the challenge of organizing extensive information without overwhelming users while balancing a user-friendly interface with comprehensive functionality. Flexibility and adaptability were crucial in meeting client demands and achieving a design aligned with business objectives.

The experience reinforced the importance of iterative improvements based on client input to create a successful and user-friendly mobile application.
