An interactive experience for museums & digital domes

Cosmonaute 360 is a series of immersive films that awaken the curiosity of the audience prior to formal classes on topics such as astronomy, digital arts, cinema and ecology.

The main objective of our Full-Dome / VR shows is to promote interest in science through edutainment. After the screening we kickstart the conversation!

In Mission: RESCUE we are learning about the consequences of plastic consumption.

The second episode of Cosmonaute 360,

a series of family-friendly films celebrating friendship and curiosity.

The Cosmo-explorers are launching on a mission to rescue the most valuable treasure of Isla Bonita. When exploring the depths of the ocean their creativity will be put to the limit when dealing with the large plastic waste pollution in the oceans to rescue a sea turtle. A short film designed to inspire the audience to protect nature and learn about nature.

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES

FOR EDUCATION!

To trigger educational experiences at museums, digital domes and planetariums,

after the screening of our immersive films the audience is invited to participate in a live experience that includes workshops and playful Show & Tell sessions with educators.

MOTIVATION

In a regular city, about one-third of the plastics used are for single-use packaging.

Up to 15 billion plastic bags are used every year and 57 million straws are used daily.

But you can’t see it …unless you dive!

GLOBAL IMPACT!

When we launched the first stage of this project in 2018 we had excellent reception among planetariums and new media festivals around the world. After organizing multiple activities in diverse educational forums we discovered a great interest of young audience and tutors to meet up and learn together about topics converging around science and artistic production. This is why we decided to launch on the mission to create ways to share knowledge with the new generations!

MEET THE COSMO-EXPLORERS!

Adventurous, kind, noble, always smiling. Kyubu built its own spaceship Its body is soft and its shape resembles a marshmallow… What is it? Many confuse it with a robot an artificial intelligence! We don’t know yet!

This character is driven by curiosity, always wanting to know more and understand how things work. We designed Kyubu to inspire children to become creators who can express their ideas through art and science, whether they are engineers, scientists or film directors!

The very first cosmo-explorer to join the crew. Energetic, friendly and full of conviction. Bani is always willing to support others.

Inspired by the legend of the rabbit on the moon , this character was designed to express respect for nature and generosity. Bani teaches us that you don’t need reasons to be kind!

EMOTES!

ORIGINAL SOUND AND MUSIC

Music and sound design are the perfect complements to create an immersive experience. Audio creation is important because it supports the story and helps the director to connect with their audience by activating emotions and by emphasising what’s happening on the scenes.

To increase the production value of our latest project, at Dessignare Studio we collaborated with Sound of the Wild to compose the original soundtrack for Cosmonaute 360 – Mission: RESCUE.

INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION

Dessignare Studio traveled to Annecy, France to participate in MIFA, the international animation market and to present our new Immersive experiences for education, a project that seeks to promote a culture of sharing and creation of educational materials via artistic mediums. The final objective of our innitiative is to teach our research methodology and invite young audiences and professionals to share their knowledge and passions.

A great surprise is that we met with Guillermo del Toro and he was so kind to share our project on social media! He gave an special announcement at the closing ceremony, Mexico was declared honor guest for Annecy Festival 2023!
