NCI - SBIR Videos
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) wanted a series of videos to explain the benefits and how-tos of applying for the SBIR grants used to fund innovative treatments to fight cancer.
Collaborating with ICF, I created these videos under the art direction of Trevor Piecham. I was given storyboards and a color palette, as well as a few concept illustrations. I punched up the art direction I was given and hit the ground running to create these 3 informative videos for the promotion and instruction of SBIR.
Using metaphors such as weathering storms and the growth and transformation of a caterpillar, we invoked inspiring images to medical professionals and entrepreneurs of finding a way to take an idea to the highest level through NCI-SBIR.
We wanted to give all edges a textured feel, and the hints of brushstrokes everywhere, to evoke the feeling of a human touch. After all, the work we are doing is by people, for people.
