Ila Display is a curvy and elegant display font. I had my grandmother, whose name is Nila; Ila for short, in mind when I was working on this typeface. She is a very graceful woman, and I wanted to imitate her movements with the thick and thin curves in the type. Being from Gujarat, I wanted to work with a regional script I had grown up reading and writing. This entire typeface was designed and digitized over the course of 2 weeks.
