Brief
Ester grew up in a Catholic family, taught from an early age to hunt and kill monsters - especially vampires. She had always been determined, resilient and strong, never letting her feelings get in the way of her vocation. She eventually met Carmilla, Dracula's predecessor, which led her to question her life's objective and the way she views the world. Their relationship is integral to Ester's growth; an unhealthy mix of self-hate, anger, pain, love, disgust and desire. The story culminates in Ester being turned by Carmilla in a way to save her, which is a decision that ultimately separates both, leading them to their deaths.
