In design its important to learn about the accessibility of your work and how it is perceived by different viewers. Here, I designed three Instagram posts about the various elements of scrapbooking with careful consideration of how viewers with different color blindness will view these posts. The color blindness I considered were protanopia and deuteranopia and these affect different color values.
I learned much about this aspect of design where it's important to think of the different viewers of your work. To communicate on the best level, it has to reach many more demographics and bode well with the target audience. I enhanced my skills in Photoshop and learned how to view my work in these different color blindness views, color and contrast were had a lot to be considered as well for these.
From what I previously learned, I learned quite a bit about color, contrast, and type and I applied those skills here in my Instagram posts. Color and contrast were of utmost importance because of the consideration for different types of color blindness, so there is a need to have enough contrast for these viewers to read and understand the type well. Reading on a phone screen is fairly small compared to reading on paper so choosing a typeface that reads well is important too.
