"Inter-Âges" - 2023/2024
Created in 1979, the Inter-Ages University (UIA) of the University of Poitiers responds to one of the fundamental missions of the University: to disseminate to the greatest number of people, knowledge, culture, intellectual tools, allowing an enlightened reading of social issues.
The UIA thus offers the precious opportunity to return to the student posture for the sole pleasure of the mind, and to (re)discover areas of knowledge and culture through multiple activities.Accessible to everyone regardless of age or level of study, the UIA essentially offers conferences throughout the academic year (but also a few workshops or outings), which address different themes and disciplinary fields allowing to cultivate oneself and understand current issues.
The conferences are accessible free of charge for students and staff of the University of Poitiers.These conferences do not issue any diplomas or certificates and do not prepare for any exams.
For this season, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games are obviously well highlighted.
So I took an ancient work of art from Greek vases with the discobolus.
