Crafting a casual vintage identity for Tokyo Cafe, a Japanese Cafe that serves a unique and hearty array of Western and Japanese dishes, desserts, and a varied selection of specialty drinks. Inspired by a Japanese aesthetic principle called Kanso (簡素) which translates to “Elimination of Clutter”, the identity design focuses on simplicity, rawness, and colors of nature. The logo design represents the Tokyo emblem and the horizon of the rising sun.
