Urban Intervention by the river mouth

An ancient garden and an old fort have a strong presence in this place. Also, there was a tennis school as a pre-existent element. The idea was to relocate the latter, as it was too close to the fort. The brief also asked for several shops, bars, a square and a restaurant. The two existing piers worked as a formal inspiration to draw the set. The two long new volumes work as connecting elements between the garden and the river mouth. The tennis school is intended to be the most important activity in the area. As so, a small bench stage was proposed that also relates with the other spaces. The motor traffic was considered important to give the area human presence and so the traffic lane is clearly present. The designed set stimulates the desire to park the car and go for a walk in the area.
