AYNI was a small peruvian recipe book that was created and designed focusing on making cooking with your girl friends funner and easier, while getting to know the Peruvian culture through the peruvian tales and food.

 

The desicions on design elements, typogrsphy and color palette where all made thinking about what a "girly" girl would like to see and experience through her eyes. With attractive colors, clear but strong use of typography and the use of traditional elements "turned around" and giving them a more modern look without taking the cultural strength they have.

To add a different aspect to the book and also a funner one, the use of simple pop-ups can surprise you but also walk you through cultural facts about peruvian food and traditions.
