About a year ago I was invited to participate in an alumni art show. I wanted to create an illustration that shared part of my story, and that would be made out of paper. My wife and I love to visit San Francisco, and because I grew up in the area it became my inspiration. I chose to focus on the bridges because they were my way into the city growing up, as well as a source of inspiration to be creative. I will always remember walking along the waterfront with my wife towards the Presidio and seeing the Golden Gate Bridge peaking through the fog, I was actually experiencing what has been shown in photographs. For me this illustration acts as a bridge to the memories I have of the city and of the place I grew up.
