A redesign of the danish magazine Magasinet rØST. Magasinet rØST covers both political and cultural subjects in Eastern Europe. The aim is to provide a more nuanced picture of Eastern Europe.
Concept:
The readers of this magazine are dedicated to stories from Eastern Europe, they want to know the details. The articles are in depth and this should be reflected in the layout. Using references to newspapers, both paper and layout wise gives the stories their right element.
Logotype:
Creating big contrasts in the logotype gives it a modern look and the fact that it is cropped gives a nice twist to the newspaper references.
Cover:
A flip-cover with full-image allows for the editorial article to start on the front page.
