The American Water Works Association (AWWA) is a scientific and educational association for those dedicated to managing and treating water. With 50,000 members, AWWA provides many varied products to educate and aid professionals in the industry. Over the course of several years, I designed many pieces for AWWA. This brochure promoted the new edition of a textbook/workbook set that explained mathematical concepts needed by water plant operators. Though I had very little to work with from a graphic standpoint, the resulting piece was a visually appealing brochure for an otherwise mundane subject.

I designed many projects for the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses. This brochure promoted a series of courses from the association for those in OR management as well as those aspiring to the position. The small images shown on the cover are the covers for the individual courses, which were also my design.

Astro Automotive is a small, privately owned local auto repair facility. I designed their logo and brochure many years ago and have produced numerous holiday postcards that they mail to their customers each year. This is an example of one of the cards that I created. The design, the illustration, and the rhyme are all original.

Though a little difficult to represent on screen, this was a nice saddle-stitched brochure designed for a capital management company that specialized in high-net-worth individuals and pension plans. The cover is a heavy uncoated stock printed in metallic silver and black, with an embossed litho-fit logo. The inside pages were printed in two colors on a cream-colored uncoated stock.

Property Data Center (PDC) developed a powerful online database of real estate data. This brochure described their services and highlighted the differences and advantages over the more familiar MLS system.

Hospitality Worldwide Services (HWS) provides many products and services to the hotel industry. I created several annual reports for this company and its subsidiaries.

I have designed dozens of 6"x9" postcards for clients over the years. They are a cost-effective marketing tool — colorful and large enough to stand out in the mail, yet fairly inexpensive to print and send. Shown above are just a few examples.

Vistoso is a condominium community located in Boulder, Colorado. I designed their logo and this brochure, before the condos were completed, with only an architect's rendering to show what the finished complex would look like. Working with both developers and property management companies, I have completed many projects for luxury apartment and condominium communities.

Self-publishing has become a viable solution for authors who want to publish their work without jumping through the hoops of traditional publishers. Often, the covers of those self-published books are not professionally designed, though, and consequently make a poor impression to possible buyers. I have designed the covers for several author's books and also laid out the inner pages, generating both physical books and electronic versions for Kindle and Nook readers.
