Cinco de Mayo fell on a Monday in 2014 and Camarena was concerned that people wouldn’t, uhhmm, celebrate enough, since the holiday fell on a workday. The concept was to have consumers help Save Cinco and celebrate the holiday over the weekend. Key to this campaign was buy-in from sales and wholesale distributors in order to spread the word and to get on board with the campaign. In order to do so, mobile friendly spots were created for sales to show to distributors to quickly explain the the value add for them to put up special POS. The spot was so successful, longer versions were created for consumer facing social media.
