The inspiration for these sculptures was pictures I saw on National Geographic - miniature cocoons made by a rare kind of bees in some far corner of the world. They were made from mud, flower petals, down of exotic birds - any surrounding materials they could recycle. I've decided to make my version of them in oversized scale, reusing materials I found the most suitable to mimic the original effect.
