Bold colourful prints inspired by the wonder of nature, interwoven with a love of exploration of different cultures, this exhibition is a showcase for the world of Modern Love. Embracing digital processing as an inspiration and craft, exploring its future within the world of fashion and print. Modern Love will be presenting a range of printed garments, illustrations, film and inspirations. Our research will form a work in progress and virtual addition to this yearlong exhibition. We seek to experiment, invent and combine digital and non-digital working practices in textiles. Exploring ways in which traditional craft methodology could inform the future digital craftsperson. The inspirations and collaborative processes will be shared with visitors through a blog available to view at the museum and on-line. A of series workshops and events will take place during the year open to the public and students.
